Table Top Cricket Manager Privacy Policy

Table Top Cricket Manager ("the App") is a free, ad-supported Android game: a cricket management game played against the computer. This page explains how the App handles information when you use it. Table Top Cricket Manager is offline by design - it has no account, no server and no cloud, and the only component in it that uses the network is the advertising SDK described below.

Information Collection And Use

The App does not require an account, a login, an email address or any personal details to use. We do not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information about you.

Everything the App records - the cricket world and any changes you make to it, your careers and their records, every match played, a match left part-way through, and your sound settings - is stored only on your device, in a local database (SQLite) and in the App's own settings. There is no cloud sync, no online account, no leaderboard, no multiplayer and no server-side copy of any kind, because there is no server. Because this data stays on your device, uninstalling the App permanently removes it.

The teams, players, grounds, competitions and fixtures ship inside the App as data files, together with photographs of the grounds. The players are fictional. The App downloads no content, checks for no updates of its own, and contacts no service other than the advertising and consent components below.

The App has no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no telemetry of its own.

Files You Choose To Send

Files leave the App only when you send them. When you make a backup or export the world as CSV files, the App hands the files to Android's share sheet and you choose where they go. When you import CSV files or restore a backup, you choose the file with Android's own file picker.

The App can copy a set of written instructions to your clipboard, for you to paste into an AI tool of your choice. The App sends nothing itself; what you paste into another service is covered by that service's own privacy policy.

Names you type when editing teams, players or grounds stay on your device, and in any backup or export you choose to make.

Third-party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, which may collect information:

Google AdMob - used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the advertising ID), IP address, and ad interaction data in order to serve and measure personalised or non-personalised ads. See Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy Google User Messaging Platform - used to ask for and record your advertising consent where the law requires it. See: https://policies.google.com/privacy Google Play Services - required for advertising and for core functionality on Android devices. See: https://policies.google.com/privacy

The advertising identifier read by these components is the only data that leaves your device.

Advertising And Consent

The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob: a banner at the foot of the screen, and full-screen ads only at breaks in a match you are watching - an innings break, close of play in a Test, and leaving a finished match. No more than one full-screen ad is shown in any five minutes.

Optional rewarded videos are offered in several places, each started by you: one turns off full-screen ads for three hours; others unlock the scouting report for your next match, add coaching points for the day, halve an injured player's time out, or unlock editing, importing and restoring a backup until you close the App.

Ads may use device identifiers (including the advertising ID) to provide relevant advertising. Where required (for example, for users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent before serving personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time, and you can opt out of personalised advertising through your device settings under Google, Ads, Opt out of Ads Personalisation.

There are no in-app purchases and no paid version.

Permissions Used

Network access (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) - used solely to ask for advertising consent and to load advertisements through Google AdMob. The App has no other online feature. The App does not request location, camera, microphone, storage, contacts, calendar or notification permissions of any kind. Backups, exports and imports go through Android's own share sheet and file picker, which need no permission.

Log Data

The App itself records no diagnostic or usage data and sends none anywhere. In the course of serving ads, Google's advertising components may receive standard technical information such as your device model, operating system version, IP address and the time of use, as described in Google's privacy policy.

Links To Other Sites

The photographs of the grounds are used under free licences and credited in the App. Tapping a credit opens the photograph's page on Wikimedia Commons in your web browser. Advertisements may also link to external websites. These external sites are not operated by us, and we advise you to review their privacy policies. We have no control over the content or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

The App is a cricket management game intended for a general audience of teenagers and adults, and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. You are advised to review this page periodically.
