Sales Sparring Privacy Policy

Sales Sparring ("the App") is a free, ad-supported Android application for practicing sales conversations against simulated buyers. This page explains how the App handles information when you use it. Sales Sparring is designed to be private and offline-first: the App makes no network calls of its own, and nothing you type in it ever leaves your device.

Information Collection And Use

The App does not require an account, a login, or any personal details to use. We do not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information about you.

Everything the App records about you - your XP and rank, career progress, badges, daily streak, statistics, and the full transcript of every conversation you have played, including any answers you typed yourself - is stored only on your device, in a local database (SQLite). This content is never uploaded to us or to any server, and there is no cloud sync, no account, and no server-side copy of any kind. Because this data stays on your device, uninstalling the App permanently removes it.

What You Type Stays On The Device

At higher ranks the App lets you type your own response instead of picking one from a list. Typed answers are graded entirely on your device by keyword matching built into the App, and are saved only into the local transcript so you can read the conversation back. They are never transmitted, never sent to a server or a language model, and are never seen by us or by any third party.

All Content Ships With The App

The buyer dialogue, scenarios, career assignments, coaching guides and sales library articles are original content included in the App itself. The App does not download content, check for updates of its own, or contact any service other than the advertising SDK described below.

Backup And Restore

The App can back up your progress and history to a ZIP file. Backups are created only at your request and are saved or shared only through the method you choose, using your device's standard share sheet. Restoring reads a ZIP you select and replaces the data currently on the device. We do not receive or store your backups, and there is no automatic or cloud backup.

Third-party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

Google AdMob - used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the advertising ID), IP address, and ad interaction data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. The advertising ID collected by the advertising SDK is the only data that leaves your device.

Advertising And Consent

The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, including a banner and optional rewarded videos that open a 12-hour Premium window. Ads may use device identifiers (including the advertising ID) to provide relevant advertising. Where required (for example, for users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent before serving personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time, and you can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings under Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Permissions Used

Network access (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) - used solely to load advertisements through Google AdMob; the App has no other online features. The App does not request camera, location, microphone, contacts, calendar, storage or notification permissions.

Log Data

In the event of an error, the App may collect diagnostic data ("Log Data") through third-party services. This Log Data may include your device name, operating system version, the configuration of the App, the time and date of use, and other statistics.

Links To Other Sites

The App may contain links to external websites. These external sites are not operated by us, and we advise you to review their privacy policies. We have no control over the content or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for a general adult and working-age audience interested in sales practice, and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. You are advised to review this page periodically.
